Class of 1964 Crossword Puzzle

The mechanics of this puzzle are not real intuitive unless you are a crossword enthusiast. However, the program that generated it was free so we have to make some allowances and provide a few directions.

Each time you click on a row of blocks, the question will appear to the right of the puzzle along with spaces to enter your answer. When you enter your answer and select 'OK' , your answer will be placed in the puzzle. When you select the next row of blocks, another question will appear. If you don't know the answer, select 'SOLVE' and the answer will be placed in the puzzle. If you select the 'CHECK PUZZLE' option, it will tell you how many correct, incorrect, and missing answers there are so far.   Good luck!
